The Big Shot Makes Leaves out of Birch Bark!

Did you know the Big Shot could do this???

Linda MacArthur sent me a package of these cutouts she had made using the Autumn Accents Bigz Die.

I fell in love with them right away!

I have always loved birch trees and the pretty white bark – against all the greens of summer, the oranges and reds of autumn, and the pretty blue skies of winter. (Have you ever seen huge, wet snowflakes falling on a birch tree?)

(By the way, if you struggle with ideas for man cards, this card will fit any occasion!)

I wanted to make the leave itself the focal point of my card so I kept the rest of it quite simple, with the strip of burlap and a metal button as the embellishments.

Tips for using Burlap with a Metal Button

Did you notice that the button is tied with a burlap string? After cutting along the two sides of the burlap so I could get the frayed look, I just took one of those burlap strands to put through the button hole.
