Three embossing folder hacks to add color to your cards – you will use these tips over and over again! These cards use the Merriest Moments Bundle but these techniques will work for lots of your folders.
Isn’t that purplish silver wreath stunning? Its made with the Silver Foil Specialty Pack of paper. It is gorgeous left plain or, as in this card, lightly sanded to bring out the silver look! This would make a beautiful wedding card – so think beyond Christmas with this Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder.
To create this look, stamp your ink pad over the embossing folder itself before running the cardstock through. It comes out with the color embedded in the recesses of the image.
This is called a Hybrid Embossing Folder because it includes both the framelits to cut out the wreath and flowers and also an embossing folder to create the texture.
This technique is made with adding color to the embossed image itself with a blending brush. This card and the one above both use Crumb Cake cardstock and look what different looks you can get just by changing how you add the color!
