Make WOW greeting cards with these 3 creative stamping techniques for your handmade cards.
Did you know you can stamp on Foil Sheets when you use the Jet Black Stazon Ink? Look at the gorgeous moody look it gives this tree?
Stamp the tree image from the Winter Woods stamp set twice on the Silver Foil and cut it out with the two different tree dies in the In the Woods Dies.
Layer the piece with the cut-outs on top of the the other and you get this beautiful result – a card perfect for masculine cards, sympathy cards and almost any other occasion you can think of.
The second technique is called the emboss resist. Have you tried it?
Emboss your stamped image with either white or clear embossing powder and then sponge over with ink colors of your choice.
Its really easy with the Stampin’ Blending Brushes. This ink used to make this card are Magenta Madness, Coastal Cabana and Highland Heather. This combination gives a vibrant look of sky.
Acetate sheets are great to use with card making because they really give a different look. Look how fun this card is!
Only the words (from the Poinsettia Petals Bundle) are stamped on this card. The rest of it is made using the acetate sheets with the Poinsettia Place Designer Series Paper. The poinsettia flowers are fussy cut and layered to add dimension to the card front.
The dies that the sentiment is stamped on is one of the Stitched Rectangles Dies. I like to keep a clear envelope filled with different sizes of those dies to have on hand when I am making cards. It makes it easy to just grab the size I need.
