Designer Series Papers make great focal points on cards! Its a fun twist from just using them as backgrounds. Check out these 8 cards using 8 different Designer Series Papers (buy 3, get 1 FREE this month from Stampin’ Up!).
1. Sweet Taffy DSP with the bird stamp from the Hello Love stamp set.
This DSP is punched out with the What’s Up Punch and layered on Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie and Rich Razzleberry cardstock.
2. Lullaby DSP using the Circle Framelits and one stamp from the Tag Talk stamp set.
The cardstock used is Whisper White, Coastal Cabana, and Baked Brown Sugar.
3. The Flashback DSP is cut into two long strips of varying widths and layered on Whisper White.
The “happy birthday” is from the Amazing Birthday stamp set.
As a child of the 60’s, I love this Flashback DSP (aptly named) because I can remember radios like this one! (Did I ever tell you that Tim got a transister radio one year in high school for not getting any “Fs”?
High standards for that boy – he never learned to read until he was 40, a story he shared -read it by clicking here.
4. The Park Lane DSP creates a vibrant look on this card. I like the dramatic color combination of Calypso Coral and Blackberry Bliss. The “hello” is from the #hello stamp set.
5. The Maritime DSP with the crisp Real Red, Coastal Cabana, and Night of Navy uses the Banner Punch to make a sailing card. The birthday stamp is from the Amazing Birthday stamp set.
6. The Back to Black DSP sets the stage for this quick and easy card using the 1″ Square Punch and words from the Bravo stamp set.
7. The Flowerpot DSP makes a pretty quilt using the Postage Stamp Punch layered on Crushed Curry and Night of Navy and put through the Chevron embossing folder. No words needed!
8. The Confetti Celebration DSP makes a statement with 1/2″ strips all across the card. The “congratulations”, stamped in Strawberry Slush, is from the Bravo stamp set.

I love ideas that use up those teeny but lovely pieces of paper that I keep “just in case” and which seem to multiply in the envelope overnight!
I’m pinning these for future reference, thanks for the lovely inspiration!
