I hadn’t planned on sharing this on my blog, but tonight as I was thinking about my weeks ahead, I feel so blessed to be where I am at this point in my life….and I wanted to say thank you to all of you who read my blog.
A week from Monday I will be having a double mastectomy due to breast cancer. I am expecting great results, but its interesting how life’s wake up calls are motivations for appreciating the little things in life. I am feeling so grateful to have the support of my customers and fellow demonstrators. Together, we create an amazing community.
I have been a demonstrator for 17 years now. I joined when my youngest child was 8 and I was homeschooling four of our five kids. My husband Tim had just lost his job due to downsizing so I was looking for a part-time job until something opened up for him. At a Stampin’ Up! party, I found something I thought I might be able to do (teaching people to stamp did not feel like selling) so I joined. Am I ever glad I did! (By the way, I have learned to love selling as well as teaching.)
As a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, I can take time for healing and still have my business working for me. (How many people can say that?) And how will I do that?
* I have Christmas Card Kits for sale and my Stamps Plus in the Mail program that will still be there as I take a break from in-home classes. (For details on those, just click on the side column) Plus online ordering for anything is available 24/7.
**Tim asked if he now had to learn to cut paper, so I asked him if he would rather cook and entertain for my customers (now friends) if some of them came over to cut paper for me. His answer was a resounding “Yes”. (It sounds like a party to me!)
Oh yes, I love Stampin’ Up! for many reasons.
If you enjoy making cards like I do, the natural “next thing” is to share it with others. If anything I have shared here has touched your interest, just know that I would love to work with you. Whatever your desires are, I am here to support you. If you just want to buy your own products at a discount, that’s great. If you want to build a business (this could be your Plan B), that’s great. I don’t want to make this a big sales pitch, but just know that for only $25 through Monday you can join at that price. Just go here, email me at karen@karentitus.com or call me at 612-929-1277.
….and if you want to read my fun post on my facebook page where I announced my cancer…..click here! (Please “like” my page if you really do like it!)
Being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator has been an amazing experience in my life and you are a part of that! So this giant thank you card is for you!
