October marks my one year anniversary as a breast cancer survivor and I am celebrating with a Card Party, of course! You are invited to join me either online or in person. First, I will explain the Cards for a Cause event taking place on Saturday, October 11 in Richfield, MN. Then I will let you know how to participate online! This is one of the eight totally different cards we will be making. Like this one, they will all be beautiful but they will also be quick and easy, geared to the beginning stamper. Why? I want you to think of your non-crafty friends who have been affected in some way by breast cancer and might be interested in supporting this cause. (Did you know that every 2 minutes another woman in the US is diagnosed with breast cancer…..and that there are almost 3 million breast cancer survivors in our country? And think of those we have lost. Indeed, most of us have been impacted in some way by breast cancer.) This is a great opportunity to share a fun community event, introduce them to card making, and to make a difference with our donations. Cost? $25. $5 will go for renting the space (until that cost is met) and $20 will go to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. I am donating 100% of the card making supplies including card stock and envelopes. When and Where? Saturday, October 11 from 9:30 – 1 pm at Oak Grove Lutheran Church, 7045 Lyndale Ave So, Richfield, MN How to register? Email me at ktstamp@usinternet.com or karen@karentitus.com for registration information.

Why did I choose the Breast Cancer Research Foundation?
When I received my diagnosis I immediately researched everything I could find about breast cancer. I was amazed by how unclear the options were. There are really four different types of breast cancer, yet they are often treated as one. Ultimately, every woman makes her own choices and we all need to support her in that. I was also surprised, and dismayed, to learn that a very small percentage of most money raised for breast cancer actually goes for research. Most of it goes for breast cancer awareness. I wanted to support research because through research we can hopefully find better ways of prevention and treatment. And that, friends, is why I chose the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. The mission of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation is to prevent and cure breast cancer by advancing the world’s most promising research. I invite you to join me in making a difference!
