Today I would like to introduce you to Caroline King, a customer and now friend, and share her stamping story.
Here is one of her cards using the collage technique with the Butterfly Basics stamp set.
Caroline enjoys experimenting with the stamps she owns and loves “mixing and matching and putting color to paper”. Isn’t that a great description of collage?
Caroline started stamping in 1992 when the bookstore she was working in added stamps and paper.
The store manager Nancy invited her along to attend a stamp convention in CA…..that is when the stamping fever really hit.
She sends out birthday cards throughout the year, holiday cards for Valentines, Easter, graduation, 4th of July, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas … and, of course, sympathy cards when needed. (My note: That is a lot of cards!)
When I asked Caroline what card making provides for her, she responded “It gives me a release from a stressful day, and enjoyment when I get an email or call to say that they received my card and liked it so much. It is a pleasure to brighten someone’s day.”
Thank you, Caroline, for sharing your talents with us.
