No plan? No problem! Today I had a little crafting hiccup—my original project for today’s live couldn’t happen —and my mojo was MIA. So I asked myself, “What’s something easy that will get me back in the flow?” The answer? A 12 x 12 sheet of designer series paper and a quick, on-the-fly one sheet wonder. Follow along and create with me—or use these design tips to make your own version!
I’m using the Modern Christmas Designer Series Paper.
I started by picking my paper—one of the designs in this pack was perfect for punching out little accents, so I made those first. Then I cut the paper into three 4 x 12 strips. Using one strip at a time, I trimmed and folded the pieces to make cards. Grab your paper and follow along in the video—you’ll see just how easy it is!
Here is the template:
Strips on Panel “A” will make two cards. Cut 1-1/4” off from the card front of a regular base card. Adhere the 2-3/4” DSP strip on the front flap and the 1-1/4” DSP strip along the right side of the inside of the card.
The 1” strips on “B” and “C” panels will also make two cards. Adhere three of the strips on the card front, and one strip on the inside of the card.
Cut the rectangle pieces on panel “D” diagonally. These pieces will also make two cards. Adhere one of the pieces on the card front and the other on the inside of the card.
The leftover pieces on panel “E” can still make one card.
