Double time stamping, triple time stamping, and faux double stamping — all fun techniques shared right here!
First, Double Time Stamping!
Doesn’t it look complicated – like you stamped this twice and happened to get it all lines up?
The Delicate Dahlias stamp is a two step stamp – but either part can be used alone too like this card.
This is all you need to make this card.
Temporarily attach the smaller white cardstock piece on top of the larger one and then stamp. Carefully pull the top piece off, insert the colored cardstock under it and assemble the card.
The video below shares some extra tips in making these cards.
Triple Time Stamping!
Let’s take this even further with triple time stamping.
This card made with the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set has the pieces offset but the technique is just the same.
Temporarily attach the white pieces, stamp and assemble.
How about a caddywampus look?
All that has changed is that this time the layers are done at different angles.
Notice that the card pieces are the same as the first card layout shown – we just added one more even smaller layer.
I used the Stamparatus with the Butterfly Brilliance stamp so it was easy to get all of the parts stamped equally. Watch that in the video below if you want to see details.
Faux Double Time Stamping!
For another totally different look – stamp your image on your cardstock and then with either a die or a punch, take out part of the middle. Raise up that part with dimensionals and it will also look like you stamped it twice!
The Free as a Bird stamp set is used in both a vertical card and a horizontal card.
By coloring just the raised up part, it is also a Spotlight Technique card. How fun is that?
For the sentiments on both of the bird cards, use the Many Messages stamp set with the Many Messages Die. I keep a stash of these sentiments all done and ready to quickly add to cards.
