Are your kids or grandkids eager for Halloween? Preparation for an event is half the fun. Get them involved in making this quick and easy Halloween cards!
I used the Circle Framelits for the pumpkins, but if you don’t have those (yet!) you could trace a small bowl on your card stock, just leaving enough of the circle off the page so it will open!
The pictures below (and the video) will show you how I made each of the faces with a variety of punches, but if you do these with kids, I would suggest just putting out a variety of punches and letting them create! Kids come up with great ideas and this is a fun way to let them be creative. Free hand cutting works well with them too … I don’t know why but as adults we don’t seem to like that much! (I think we have trouble believing that we can be creative!!!!)
This first pumpkin had a stem made from the Modern Label Punch.
For the eyes and nose, insert the card stock into the Triangle Punch as far as you need to for the size you want.
For this fun mouth, use the Triangle Punch first to make some teeth and then use the Circle Punch. (I used the 1 1/4″ punch.)
On this second card, the Ticket Duo Builder Punch was used for both the stem and the nose.
The eyes were made with the Small Oval Punch by inserting the card stock just part way.
The Postage Punch was used on the edge of the card stock and then moved up on the card stock and punched again.
This last pumpkin uses the Small Oval Punch for the mouth and Circle Punches for the eyes.
The stem is a piece of card stock with the end punched with the Postage Punch.
