Check this out! Tim actually made about a dozen cards the other evening. This was the first time he has ever done that!
The reason? He and our friend Jannie Higgins made cards to send to some ofour church campers. (That includes the adults volunteering their time to cook and lead at the camp!)
Enjoy these quick ideas:
These were for the nurses!
Those band aids were made with strips of Crumb Cake card stock run through the Perfect Polka Dots folder, then edges rounded, a piece on top (made with the 1″ Square Punch) and topped off with a tiny heart.
These were for the cooks….doing all that quantity cooking for the week. Tim used the same idea that I shared by video here.
I loved what Jannie did with this card.
She used the Owl Builder Punch, the 2 1/2″ Circle Punch, and the little Star Punch.
Of course, every camp needs a campfire! Notice how the front of this card is punched out with the 2 1/2″ Circle Punch and the campfire from The Great Outdoors stamp set if on the inside of the card.
(The inside of the card is really all white – its the light coming in through the window that make this pretty effect!)
The secrets to making a large number of cards in a very short time are to mass produce them (as you can see in this picture) and to keep them simple! Stampin’ Punches are perfect for that!
I hope this encourages you to think about making some fun Summer Punch Cards to send out to some people…..who might be camping or who are just on your mind! Its always an unexpected treat to receive a handmade card in the mail!
Its also fun to be making cards and thinking of those people you are making them for! Friends and families are great treasures. Let them know you are thinking of them!
