The floating frame card technique lets you make two cards at the same time! These cards use the Friends Are Like Seashells Bundle and the Sand & Sea Designer Series Paper from the 2021 Stampin’ Up! Mini Catalog.
Notice how the Stitched Circle Die is used to cut out the center and that is how you create the two cards.
This technique is actually very easy – it just takes a little longer since you will raising up the images.
Start by arrange your stamped images (or you images fussy cut from designer series paper like I did) on a 4″ x 5-1/4 pice of cardstock.
Lay a piece of Press ‘N Seal over this and rub to make sure all of the pieces and the cardstock get attached.
Run this through your embossing machine.
Carefully peel off the cardstock, making sure the images stay attached to the Press ‘N Seal.
Add dimensionals over all of the images, remove the backing, and carefully attach to a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of cardstock.
One will be the center image and the other will be the frame image – so you will have two cards.
Use this same idea with different images and with different dies – try rectangles, squares, and other interesting shapes!

This is so fun! I just made a going out to lunch gift certificate for my mom with it. Such a versatile design . It could also be for things like lottery tickets, show tickets, or their handmade certificates.
