No cutting, or adhesive needed for these easy paper baskets! Make them for Easter, May Day …. or, my favorite – a perfect gift for a crafter!
The smaller basket is made with a 6″ x 6″ piece of Butterfly Bijou Designer Series Paper.
The larger basket is made with a 12″ x 12″ piece of Hydrangea Haven Designer Series Paper.
Look at the four little pockets to put chocolates or other goodies in!
The handle is a 1/2″ x 8-1/2″ piece of coordinating cardstock.
If you want to add a handle to the larger sized basket, use two strips of 1″ x 11″ cardstock and attach them to make one long handle. Cut that to whatever size you want.
The Perfect Gift for a Crafter
Look at all of the crafting goodies you can put in those pockets!!! Whatever craft – whether sewing or beading or cardmaking – you can tuck in lots of little items that will be loved! Plus… you made the basket yourself so you are giving a handmade gift as well!
Here is the template.
For a 6″ x 6″ piece of Designer Series Paper, score at 1-1/2″, 3″ and 4-1/2″ on both sides.
For a 12″ x 12″ piece of Designer Series Paper, score at 3″, 6″ and 9″ on both sides.
Fold in on each score line so the paper will look like this.
Punch a hole in each corner and string a ribbon through.

Hi,
Great basket ideas. Thanks for sharing them. I would gift it with chocolate and craft items for sure.
Making for G- kids for Easter. Will be putting stuff (no sweets/per parents) in the slots. Beef jerky and whatever.
We don’t add sweets either – for the same reason. Its fun to think up some other alternatives, though – I like your beef jerky idea
