When I need to make cards quickly or just don’t know where to start, I always go for 2” strip cards! They’re super easy to make.
With this easy technique, you can create beautiful cards in no time—whether you want a stack of identical cards or a variety of designs, it’s all up to you. The best part? This method is fantastic for mass-producing cards without sacrificing style or creativity. Once you try it, you’ll be making a pile of cards in no time—easy peasy, and you won’t forget this trick!
How to make easy 2″ strip cards:
Score a 7-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ card base at 3” and fold.
Cut two 2” x 5-1/4” strips of Designer Series Paper. Adhere one on the front flap towards the left side and adhere the other one on the inside of the card towards the right side so part of it will show on the card front.
Layer a 2-3/4″ x 3-3/4″ Basic White piece on a 3″ x 4″ piece of coordinating cardstock and adhere on the left front flap (make sure to only add adhesive on the left side).
Add an your accent and sentiment piece and embellish as desired.
Here’s the basic template:
The Pretty in Pink 2024-2026 In Color Designer Series Paper pairs perfectly with the Spotlight on Nature stamp set.
This card uses the Full of Life Designer Series Paper paired with Simply Sparkling Dies.
You can also change the size of your accent piece.
I used square die cuts with the Friendly Seagulls stamp set.
You can also use die cuts/punches/fussy cut images as you center accent piece.
The lovely Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper makes a perfect dainty background.
This is a really quick and easy layout to make fast cards!
