On this cold and dreary February day, I wanted to stamp something that would make me think of spring. The theme for this month’s Mediterannean Blog Hop is “One for the Guys” so that was on my mind too. (Of course, I am talking about yesterday – just the day before it was due!) Suddenly, baseball entered my mind! Whether its kids playing on teams or down at the park, or friends who love cheering their favorite team on … most of us have some baseball fans in our lives.
My three year old grandson loves to play baseball, so this card is for him! The ball and glove are worn and the card looks like that too. The Timeless Textures stamp set provides all the background images – including the spirals for that curve ball!
I made a second card, much cleaner, and with the colors red, white, and blue to honor one our country’s favorite past times. Notice how I even made the baseballs different.
Both were made with the 2 1/2″ Circle Punch. The seams on the second card were drawn on using part of a circle punch as a pattern, with the holes all lined up with the Essentials Paper Piecing. The other one was all free-form!
Which do you prefer? Who do you know who would love to receive a handmade baseball card? Have fun visiting all of the other bogs with “One for the Guys”! You will never have to wonder again “What can I make for a masculine card?

Awesome card and a good use of that paper pierce template too!
Great card!!!
Wow. Wow. And wow again. Timeless texture to the rescue and can I just say…LOVE the seams. The faux stitching is superb (and there is not a huge amount of difference with the punched pattern-seam and the hand-drawn one). Love your card. Have a terrific day and God Bless, ~Cynthia <
