I received the most amazing gift yesterday from Sue Nurnberger made with the Envelope Liners Thinlits, the Number of Years Stamp Set, and the Love Blossoms Paper Stack!
Sue is my upline in Stampin’ Up! and she gave this to me to celebrate my 20th anniversary as a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator! Sue is one of those truly talented people who come with the best ideas ever! I will treasure this gift forever!
This is the gift bag itself. I will get to the directions in “just a minute” (have your heard me say that before?) … but first, please indulge me while I reflect a bit on these past 20 years.
You know how some decisions in your life end up being life changing? Being a demonstrator ranks close to the top of my list on best decisions ever. (Of course, marrying Tim was #1!)
The friendships I have made, both with fellow demonstrators and with customers, have enriched my life beyond measure. Attending conventions, stamping together, sharing ideas and life stories …
Getting paid to do what I love to do – priceless.
The travel perks – before SU!, vacation to me meant 5 kids and a tent. We had an old station wagon with the rear facing back seat (who remembers those?) to fit our family of 7 … with a wheelchair strapped on the top of the car next to the car top carrier … and garbage bags filled with our clothes and camping supplies tucked everywhere inside of the car.
While I have many fond memories of those camping days – the reality was – it was fun but also a lot of work!
Now – think of going on a cruise with everything paid for – being pampered with pillow gifts and the biggest decision of the day being what to eat and where …
Our first cruise was just amazing – we had no idea people actually traveled like that … and then, at the end of the trip, we could just look at each other and say “just think – we will do this again next year!”
If any of the things I have touched on have sparked a bit of curiosity in you, please email me or call me. (612-929-1277) I would love to chat with you – and I would love to have you share in this treasure of becoming a demonstrator – whether its just to get a discount on your own purchases, or to be a part of this amazing community, or to build a business.
We each get to choose what we want to do with this, and whether this is for a short season of your life – or a long one like for me – I would love to share this time with you!
Now … back to the project!
Gift Bag made from Envelope Liners
At our Minnesota Leaders Get-together meeting yesterday, Sue taught us how to make these bags in a smaller size.
Inside is a cute little gift tag made with the Scalloped Topper Punch and the Party Wishes Stamp Set.
In her gift to me, she used the largest size Envelope Liner and for this cute little project, we used the smallest size.
Cut out two pieces of Its My Party Designer Series Paper Stack with the Envelope Liner.
Fold over the top of one of the pieces and attach them using glue dots along the edges. (For the largest size, use the Tear & Tape Adhesive.)
Fill with whatever you want!!!! How easy and fun was that?
Karen Titus
P.S. This is by far the longest post I have ever written – Sue, you put me in a reflective mood! Thank you so very much! And thank you, my readers, for staying until the end! I would love to hear from you.
