Today we are doing a little time traveling with The Frosted Medallions stamp set. This set didn’t grab me when I first saw it, but now that I have played with it I love it! Here are three different ways to use just the large stamp.
First is a quick & easy card with a vintage flair!
This is one of the seven cards you will receive in the mail if you participate in our Breast Cancer Fundraiser. To read more about that, click here.
Mint Macaron is such a pretty color for this monochromatic look. Notice how the stamp is off the edge of the paper. Add a 4″ x 1 1/2″ piece of In Color Designer Series Paper Stack, a bit of Very Vanilla 1/2″ Lace Trim and a Metal Rimmed Pearl and it is finished!
Time for Rock ‘n Roll with your Stamps!
An oldie, but goodie. We did this technique many years ago when I started stamping and it still impresses today!
To do this technique, you stamp first in one color, then roll the edges of the stamp in another color before you put it on the paper. (There is a video at the end of this post showing all three techniques if you want to see it done.)
Tie Dye Card with Baby Wipe Technique!
Another colorful technique that reflects the Sixties – have you ever made the t-shirts?
For this, put drops of different colors of ink refill on a baby wipe to make a pad that looks like this… and stamp away.
You can make many cards with this one pad – and the colors will get more muted as you go along. Its fun to see the difference between your first card and your 20th – and they will all be beautiful!
Is’t it amazing how this one stamp looks beautiful plain, but also looks beautiful as colorful as a tie dye can make it? What a versatile stamp set.
Make 3 Cards with Frosted Medallions
We had some difficulties at the end of this Facebook Live with figuring out how to show the cards correctly – so when you get to that part, you can skip the rest. (See how I just made this video shorter?) Please leave comments or questions if you have any!
