Life can be One Wild Ride!
If you have any motorcycle riders in your life … or wanna-be motorcycle riders … this is a perfect birthday card for them!
… and it opens to this:
Notice the fun words on this card!
There are other great words in the set also – like “I really don’t feel like going for a ride today…” …said no motorcycle rider ever!
& “Life’s a Journey – Enjoy the Ride”!
I think the Double Z Fold was just made for this card.
If you haven’t tried this quick and easy fold yet, here are some instructions.
Cut two pieces of cardstock, one 4 1/4″ x 11″ and the other 1″ x 11″. Score each at 5 1/2″ and 2 3/4″.
These folds are exactly alike – you can think in terms of folding your cardstock in half, and then fold it back on itself again.
Now … just flip the 1″ piece 180 degrees and you have the layout!
Attach the 2 3/4″ part of the 1″ cardstock to the middle of the main card and the long end to the front of the card. (If you don’t want the edge of the long piece to show on the front, just tear off a piece. I leave the instructions this way so its easy to visualize them being the same.)
Then assemble the rest of the card.
The two striped pieces from By the Shore Designer Series Paper measure 4″ x 2 1/2″.
The motorcycle is stamped on a piece of 3 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ Whisper White Card Stock which is layered on a piece of 3 3/4″ x 2 3/4″ Dapper Denim.
How easy was that?
I made a bunch of these for my card swap at Onstage last weekend … and if you participated in our Breast Cancer Fundraiser, you also received this same card, but in different colors. Here is that card:
Isn’t it fun to see how different colors and papers work on the very same card?
If you like this card and need supplies, here is the list. (* and remember that when you place a minimum $40 order here in my online store, you get 5 cards in the mail for my Free Card Kit of the Month!)
This motorcycle stamp is adorable. I like the pop-up card effect, but I don’t use it too often.
