Pocketful of Sunshine makes a great card for a child to make for a teacher … or for any of us to make as a thank you card for someone who has inspired us to learn!
Did you know that there is a Poem in Your Pocket day each year in April? We are all encourage to put a poem in our pocket for the day and share it with people we meet. How fun is that?
Here is the rest of this poem:
Who in your life taught you to read?
…. read aloud to you?
…. inspired you to read about new topics of interest?
There is room at the end of this poem to write a short note of thanks – but, even better, make your sheet a little longer so you can write more – and then fold it up.
This is one card that is guaranteed to not get thrown away!
**** And for how it was made?
The flower was made by cutting out different parts of a flower on a sheet of the Petal Garden Designer Paper Stack – and the pocket itself was from another sheet in that paper stack. It is one of my favorite papers!!!
