A Kiss for You on this Valentine's Card
Who doesn't like candy for Valentine's, even if it's not edible? This chocolate candy kiss ls partly unwrapped and looks ready to eat!
Do you recognize the Blossom Petals Builder Punch as the way to create this kiss? This is really a
Valentine's Punch Art Card
Watch the stamping video tutorial below to see how its made. I have put written instructions below the video.
Just a little side story……..The wrapping is aluminum foil. I was telling a friend that I wasn't even sure where to find the aluminum foil in my kitchen since I never cook anymore. Her response was "You weren't even going to use it for food anyway, were you?" I had to admit that she was right – it was my crafting need that sent me into the kitchen!
Instructions:
1. The base of the card is Naturals White cut 4 1/4" x 11" , scored at 5 1/2" and folded.
2. A piece of Real Red Core'dinations Card Stock of 4 1/4" x 2 1/4" was put through the Big Shot with the Honeycomb Folder, then sanded with the Stampin' Sanding Block to get this pretty look.
3. Layer that on a piece of Chocolate Chip Card Stock 4 1/4" x 2 1/2" and attach to the card.
4. Punch out the largest blossom in the Blossom Petals Builder Punch from Chocolate Chip Card Stock. Use a narrow strip of that so you can place the punch right where it will look like a chocolate candy kiss.
5. Tear off a small piece of aluminum foil and partially wrap the candy. Attach to the card.
6. Stamp the words "sending a kiss" in really red and punch out with the Small Oval Punch.
7. Add the words "for everything you are to me" at the bottom of the card. Both word phrases are from the Petite Pairs stamp set.
(You might usually pair the words "sending a kiss" with the words "to make it better" from the same stamp set, but isn't this phrase perfect for a Valentine? We love to mix and match!)
8. Add some Real Red Stitched Ribbon and the card is finished!
So..who would you send a kiss to on this upcoming Valentine's Day? I will be sharing some other fun variations (along with a video) with this idea in next week's newsletter, so be sure you have opted in on my mailing list on the right side of this page.
