Make something different for your Christmas cards this year – Slimline Cards using a Double One Sheet Wonder Template!!! Its all right here.
Let’s look at the cards first. I am using the Poinsettia Place Designer Series Paper – but you can any paper.
Some strip pieces used for the accent.
Replace the white piece (4-3/4″ x 3″) on these cards with your Christmas photo if desired.
To start, make ten base cards in coordinating colors. Each measures 9″ x 7″ and is scored in half at the 3-1/2″ line.
Next, cut layers for these cards at 8-3/4″ x 3-1/4″ each.
Cut two pieces of Poinsettia Place Designer Series Paper in half – layer two of these papers on top of each other.
Cut these pieces according to this template. Create your cards.
Click here for a PDF if you want to download the template.
For theses cards, I used sentiments from the Wrapped in Christmas stamp set as well as dies from the Ornate Layers Dies, the Stitched Rectangles Dies and the Tasteful Labels Dies.
The cut out poinsettias are from another of the papers in the Poinsettia Place Designer Series Paper.
Watch all of these cards being made in the following video.
wow just wow. I make slimline cards often especially when I find the legal envelopes at thrift stores. but I never had a one sheet wonder template for them. Thanks so much for sharing. Thanks too for making the photos small so that I could fit all of them and the template on 1 sheet of paper for my card layout binder.

Hi I would like to order Christmas cards & how much cost ?
Thanks
I am attempting to make these snowflake cards and you start with a 12 by 6 piece of DSP in the video I think you said cut off a quarter of an inch off of the 12 inch side which would make the measurements on the bottom half correct but not on the top have the top half of all equals up to 12 in but the bottom half equals up to 11 and 3/4 inches. Can you help me out a little bit on this?
Hi Karen, have just found your channel and love these card ,i wanted to ask your permission to make these for my Christmas cards, for this year. I wondering what I have to do, to let others know you made these. Can i put a note in the letter to say made by me designed by Karen., a stamping up consultant.
Thanks for your lovely work, I have subscribed to you channel, thank you once again cheers from Australia , Debbie
I watched both your Poinsettia videos today…
I made the one sheet wonder and used 2 full sheets of the DSP, ended up with 20 cards and no DSP scrap. Did have some with the paper but nothing that cant be used further down the road. This was my second attempt at slimline cards. My first was your slimline zipline.
Thanks so much!!
Thank you for your nice comment, Samantha!!! I love hearing you made those!
Thank you so much for the wonderful comment, Debbie – I am so glad you will use that idea. You don’t need to give me credit at all – I just appreciate you thinking to let me know how much you liked them. Have fun
Hi Pamela – I am just seeing your comment now – i am so sorry!!! I will have to go back and look at the directions I gave – I might have made a mistake in listing the measurements. Did you figure out something by now – or should I check it and get back to you. Thanks so much for letting me know
I actually don’t make cards to sell – but I can sell you the supplies if you want to make them. I am happy to have a phone conversation with you – just call me anytime at 612-929-1277
Hi my name is Lesley, female, I live in Wales, UK, just saw the snowflake slimline cards, they are awesome. I think I only made 1 slimline before and made my own envelope, but it took me ages to master sizes and I never did one again. Lol. I didn’t keep the template either. I’m hoping to try and make a few for my family for Christmas and I am all for using envelopes that are already made for me. You have inspired me to get back into trying to make a few cards again during this lockdown in UK no as well.
HI Lesley, thank you for such nice comments!!! I appreciate it so much.
