Do you keep extra birthday cards on hand? I try to do that because it seems like there is some birthday around every corner that I have forgotten about!!!
This So Very Happy stamp set is a nice set for making birthday and thank you cards. It has a cute owl in it too along with five other stamps.
The pretty lined envelope is like icing on a card just like the frosting is on a cake – that finishing touch! The Envelope Liners Framelits are so easy to use. On this set, I used the same Lullaby DSP that I used on the card.
The stamping technique I used on this card is using several yellows on the flower to create a softly shaded look. For the flower, I used So Saffron, Daffodil Delight, and Hello Honey, and for the inside of the flower I used Pumpkin Pie and Tangelo Twist.
Below is a video of how I made this card, but be prepared for a very abrupt ending! This was part of an online event I had done and I forgot to leave so lead time for splitting the projects apart! There’s always something more to learn – but if I thought everything had to be perfect, I wouldn’t be posting anything!

Hi Karen! I’m stopping over from Let’s Get Real today. You are so right. I should be keeping some extra cards on hand. My mother is so good at always having the right card. She makes a variety of them to have on hand, but she also has very customized cards. A homemade card is always appreciated. They are such works of art!
That was an abrupt ending. I wasn’t ready yet. Thanks for sharing with us, answers a few questions I had about how those cards end up looking so special. Must check out some of the others now! Millie
That was an abrupt ending, wasn’t it! I just couldn’t face re-doing it though. I’m better off just getting things done! Thanks so much for checking out my videos. I do a little crocheting too and just love all the new ideas available!
