Happy Memorial Day Weekend! Think of those you know who love the out of doors enough to camp in it! Here are Stampin Up card ideas for the camper! The Under the Stars Stamp Set (p. 89 #111556 $29.95), from the retiring stamp set list, is perfect!
This first card is the "cleverest" apology card I have ever seen!
Isn't that pleading raccoon adorable? The big mess is created with the Extreme Elements Stamp Set (p. 145 #115181 $26.95), which is also on the Discontinued List. That stamp, which is one of six stamps in the set, is great for splashes of water as well as for backgrounds.
Doesn't this card make you want to go put up a tent? ….or maybe a cabin, or a hotel just near the woods? The s'mores and the bug spray tell the story for sure! If you send cards to any young campers this summer, wouldn't this be a fun set to use? Kids love to make cards with this set as well.
In the above two cards you can see the bear, the smores, the bug spray, the mosquitoes and the raccoon. The stamp set also includes a sleeping bag, a can of beans on a stick to put over the fire, a star, a compass, and the word "grrreat". That makes ten stamps in the set which gives you a lot to work with both for cards and scrap booking. If you have kids who either camp with you or go off to camp, they will enjoy using this set to make a few scrapbook pages about camping! Its always fun to see their perspective.

When our kids were growing up, we spent every Memorial Day weekend camping at Ironwood Springs Christian Ranch in southern Minnesota.
