If you need a quick idea for Halloween treats, you will love this Stampin' Up! Monster Munchies treat bag!
Pull on the ribbon and out comes the "Spider Cider"!
Isn't that fun? I have been making these treat bags for years and they still amaze people! They are so simple to make. There is a stamping video tutorial after these directions if you want to see the process!
1. Start with a piece of card stock 5" x 81/2". Score at 2 1/4" from each end (card stock the long way on the Simply Scored)
2. Fold and attach on the back with Sticky Tape. Punch a hole through both layers at the top and insert the 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon.
3. Put the cider package on the ribbon and push it down inside the container.
4. Tie the ribbon and you are finished! The cider will slide up and down with the ribbon!
Now on to the fun part: the decoration! I used the "Spider Cider" stamp from Monster Munchies stamp set. Monster Munchies is a perfect Halloween stamp set, because isn't Halloween all about the treats anyway? The cider stamp punches out with the Extra-Large Oval Punch and then I layered it on two different papers cut out with the Labels Collection Framelits. One is turned sideways to give a little different look. I used the Howlstooth & Scaringbone Designer Series Papers and Tango Tangerine card stock and added the silver Shimmery Brads to complete the look.
Think of all the different ways you can use this idea. How about hot chocolate packs and for little Holiday gifts decorated with a snowman from the Stylin' Snowfolk stamp set? Or jewelry for a little girls' gift decorated with the Topsy-Turvy Celebration stamp set? Or packages of stickers for birthday party favors decorated with the Make a Cake stamp set? Or baby shower favors with the Baby Boutique stamp set? You can see the list can go on and on.
Of course, you can also make it a smaller size and put in a gift card! How about a gift card for Starbucks and decorating the outside with the mug from the Scentsational Season stamp set? I would love to hear any other ideas you come up with so please share!
Get creative and have fun with this Stampin' Up! Monster Munchies treat bag!
