When I first saw this single Sunshine stamp, it brought back fond memories of adopting our youngest daughter, Leah.
Leah was two years old when we went to the Philippines to get her. The staff at the Children's Home kept warning us that she wouldn't come to us because she had a hard time dealing with change. We got there late at night and she was sleeping. Shortly after midnight, Leah woke up crying in her crib. We went in and she lifted her arms to me. She immediately quieted and she willingly sat on the laps of her new siblings and dad. For most of the week we were there, she was in my arms and the song I sang over and over to her was "You Are My Sunshine".
That was never a song we had sung as a family and I have no idea why it came to me, but it just seemed to fit Leah and the setting. To this day, I think of Leah whenever I hear this song, and she truly has brought sunshine into our lives and into the lives of many others.

To make this card, I used the Sunshine stamp, the Petite Pennants Builder Punch, and the Polka Dot Parade Designer Series Paper. This morning, it occurred to me that I had just created a tenth card in the Polka Dot Parade of Cards from last week! To see those, just click here.
So who is on your list to make a special card for?
