I spent time at our church's Women's Retreat stamping up north in Minnesota! One of the many cards we made was the card pictured below made from the Happy You stamp set.
We spent plenty of time outdoors hiking and sunning as well! What a perfect weekend! Sitting in these chairs overlooking the lake at Camp Patmos is one of my favorite places in the world!
Women love to get together to talk, eat, and create. I am available to help with stamping at women's events of any kind.
A fun idea for a women's church group is to have an evening of stamping beginning with a devotional about caring for each other, and praying for specific people, whether missionaries, home-bound, those who have recently lost a loved one, etc. Then each woman chooses a different person from that list and stamps a card and writes a message on it. Not only does the recipient feel grateful to be remembered, but the sender will feel a special connection to the person they have chosen and will often choose to stay more connected to him or her, whether in person or through prayer. After that, everyone can made as many cards for themselves as they want to.
Email me if you would like to talk about that or for other ideas about using stamping in community!
Isn't this a cute handmade baby card idea?
I love the saying "peek-a-boo baby". The picture didn't turn out too well but I decided I would share it anyway. The Happy You stamp set is a set of eight small stamps that cover many occasions with cute images and words such as "together", "hello there", "hip hip hooray", "thanks", and "celebrate". You could use this card layout with all of them, getting different looks just by changing the colors and the ribbon.
For this layout I used several Stampin' Up! circle punches, paper from the Designer Series Paper Stacks, and the Raspberry Ripple Stitched Satin Ribbon. A strip of ribbon was glued across the card and the half-knot was attached with a glue dot.
Happy You is a host stamp set and can be purchased for only $9 in clear mount or $12 in wood with a $150 order. ($150 makes a party and you receive $25 extra in host benefits.) That can be all your own order or collect a few orders a do a catalog party…..or let me know and we will schedule an in-home party! (If you don't live in or near Minnesota, ask me about my "party-in-a-box".)
Email me with any questions! I love hearing from you!!! I love stamping up north in Minnesota….or anywhere else!
