Keep reading for two more ideas.
Now, back to this idea. When our kids were young, we gave what we called “gifts of writing” on each child’s birthday. Each of the siblings would draw or write (or dictate) on an index card something about the birthday child. (Things like “Me and Leah like to play monkeys on the bed” and “Johs likes to read to me”)
It was a fun way to help them to focus on appreciating that sibling for something specific.
This fun kit would really make that fun and easy! Add a photo of the child and you have an amazing, thoughtful yet inexpensive, that anyone would treasure.
At 2 1/2, even my grandson could draw a picture and, as we talked about his parents, I added a couple of things he said.
An older child would have fun doing everything on their own.
You might be surprise – and very delighted – with the special memories they come up with it!
