You are one of the many blessings in my life, and this day after Christmas felt like a good time to look over this past year and see what you responded to most. The result is this countdown of my most popular posts of 2104! (Click on any highlighted area to read the original posts)
10. Sometimes I have joked that 2014 was “the year of the feather”. Did you notice how popular feathers were everywhere?

9. I wrote a series of posts while spending 30 days by my MIL’s side while she was in hospice care.
This was a way for me to write about what I had learned and I had no idea that I would get the responses I did. I heard from many of you that have cared for family or friends at the end of their lives, or who are anticipating that experience. I treasure each of those responses and I look forward to more! Shared experiences bring us together.

6. One of the highlights of my year has been mentoring Anna, a young woman with Downs Syndrome, in developing her own Card Kit business!
It all started more that a year ago when I was asked to interview Anna to see if I might be interested in hiring her to help in my business. After spending some time with her, I said that, instead of hiring her, I had an idea for her to own her own business and I would love to mentor her in that.
For almost a year, Anna sold her kits to family and friends. This fall, we did our first video together on Youtube, we started an Etsy store, dabbled with Social Media, and things took off! Anna has been featured all over. She has sold hundreds of card kits.
Something you might not know: Anna donates all of the proceeds! Watch for an upcoming blog post about that. (The short version: Buying Anna’s Card Kits is giving twice: first in supporting Anna as an entrepreneur, and second, supporting other organizations in Child Cancer and other causes.)
