Greetings from Pastor Titus,
You may not know this curious fact about me, but ten years ago I became an ordained minister….online! My goddaughter Kristen wanted me to be a part of her wedding so she made it happen.
At Starbucks, one of my co-workers asked if I would officiate at her wedding and I did. That was just the beginning as the “Starbuck’s pastor”. I’ve currently performed the ceremony for seven couples, all customers or co-workers.
This fall I will be performing numbers eight and nine. It’s been a great experience and is a big side benefit for being a Barista.
I love being a part of this, one of people’s most important events. It is an honor to plan with them, counsel them, and encourage them. And, finally, to make their love for each and the blessed union of marriage official by the power vested in me by the state of Minnesota as a Christian Minister.
How nice is that! I think that is so special to have a friend officiate at a wedding. That certainly adds a certain memory to the day. 🙂
Thanks for the comment, Nancy. Tim has always wanted to be a pastor, so this is one way he stays connected with that dream.
