This may be the most difficult “Tuesdays with Tim” that I will ever write.
It’s been a joy sharing in Karen’s Stampin’ Up! business as an assistant, cooking, making deliveries, and keeping you, fellow stampers, entertained!
Now it will get a lot more serious. Karen has breast cancer and is having a double mastectomy this Monday, October 28.
The joy of being Karen’s “care-taker” will take on a whole new meaning. I’m usually taking care of a whirlwind of energy and efficiency. Now it will be of a post-op patient on pain medication.
But this I know of Karen: She’ll be back with more commitment, and more energy than ever!
In the meantime, keep us in your prayers. If you live nearby, help her cut paper (so I don’t have to) and put in an order or two to keep her business going while she is in recovery.
Will be thinking of you both. Call me if you need anything. I mean it! Don’t hesitate.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to you. Let us know when she’s home and my mom and I will bring the food by. I know Karen will be in great hands with you assisting her, you’re a gem.
Hugs and blessings,
Tracy
Karen and Tim, I’ll keep both of you in my thoughts and prayers as Karen goes through her treatments and recovery. It’s so good that you two support each other. Best wishes.
You will both be in my thoughts.
I attended one Stampin Up party several years ago, hosted by a friend…Karen as the demonstrator. I’ve enjoyed receiving the newsletters since.
Again, please know that you are both in my thoughts for a successful treatment and a comfortable recovery.
Thank you so much for sharing, Jude!
Karen
Thanks, Mary Ellen. I appreciate your prayers,
Karen
Hi Tracy, Thanks so much to you and your mom. (Tim is looking forward to you coming over! Nice break for him)
I appreciate that Suzanne……and I will call you! (or maybe desperate Tim will!)
Hi Karen – Best of luck on Monday. I had a double mastectomy myself last December, so if you want to chat don’t hesitate to contact me. Sometimes it helps just to chat with someone who has been through it and can understand what you are going though (I emailed you previously). Sending you lots of hugs, positive thoughts and prayers. Hang in there!!!
Thanks, Laurie. You do know what I am going through!!! Thanks for connecting with me.
