If you are looking for inspiration today, I have it in spades for you! Yesterday, I challenged readers on my facebook page to make an extra Valentine card to give to someone who wouldn’t be expecting it … and the responses have been heartwarming.
From sending cards to new widows, a woman in prison, a friend in a hospital so she would have a valentine to give to her granddaughter, the list goes on…

This comment by Patricia Allison says it all:
I love this post! Thank you to everyone who has shared this far, and to everyone who will take up the challenge as Valentine’s Day approaches. I made four cards this morning as a result of Karen’s encouragement. Thanks for a great reminder to fill our days with random acts of kindness. My cards are for a widow that lives on our street, an older colleague who touches so many lives in her profession, a single parent friend in the neighborhood, and one extra card… I will wait and see who God puts on my heart today
We have a wonderful opportunity to use our love of card making to make a difference in someone’s life! Its never “too late” to send someone a Valentine card!
Thanks for reading. I appreciate you!

P.S. Of course I need to post a card. Read below for its meaning.
Brenda Ryan, the creator of this, makes cards for her Patients with ALS project. What she said about this card: A patient might choose this one for a wife caregiver who is feeling a little invisible.
