"Wonderfall, wonderfall…" I can almost hear Ed Sullivan say in his "wunnerful" voice. That what I was remembering today as I played with this Wonderfall stamp set for the first time. What a great stamp set for autumn! After such a hot June and July, these August evenings in Minnesota actually have a bit of coolness in the air, which I find refreshing.
Wonderfall is a set of five stamps, ffour different leaves and a pine cone. They coordinate with the Autumn Accents Bigz Die so you can do a wide variety of projects with these two items.
This stamping technique works for any arrangement of the layers, as you can see with this version of the same card elements. The colors Not Quite Navy, Always Artichoke, and Cajun Craze create a little look than the standard fall colors.
When someone sees a card like this for the first time, she (or he) often wonders how you got the three layers to match up. It looks like you spent a lot of time on this card, when you really only stamped one layer. This stamping video tutorial will walk you through the process:
As you can see, you temporarily attach the vanilla pieces of card stock together in the arrangement you want and then you stamp over all the layers together. You will get breaks at the edges of each layer as the stamp jumps down to the next one, but when you put the contrasting card stock under each layer, those breaks just disappear.
Isn't that just Wonderfall, Wonderfall?
