I will be in sunny Orlando, Florida, for the rest of this week for the Stampin' Up! Leadership Conference. This is the invitation I received from SU! to attend a special dinner for all of us who have served on the Advisory Board:
Isn't that a classy invitation? It would be a beautiful card for a wedding, birthday, or anything else as well just by changing the words.
It is so special receiving anything hand stamped from the company. I feel so honored to still get to be a part of this special annual event even though my time of serving on the Board was several years ago.
If you have been following my blog for awhile, you might remember that when I went to the Stampin' Up! Convention this past summer, I lost my cell phone, couldn't get my digital camera to work, and found out that my computer was too old to use with My Digital Studio. Now, six months later, I am heading on yet another trip and I am hoping for much better results. I now have a new "smart phone" to replace that "dumb phone(?)" – I hope to figure out how to use it tomorrow so I can take pictures there and actually post them on my blog! I guess you will find out soon enough if I figured that out!
Back to this beautiful invitation: It doesn't show very well in this picture, but the base of this card (in Midnight Muse) has the large stamp from Postage Due embossed in clear on it. It gives a really great textured look. The strip of music notes is from the Natural Composition Specialty Designer Series Paper and the pretty Chevron paper is from the Parker's Patterns Designer Series Paper and has been cut out with one of the Labels Collection Framelits.
The flower is from the Secret Garden stamp set. Two of the flower stamps from this set were embossed on Tangerine Tango Card Stock, then cut out with the Secret Garden Framelits, and layered one on top of the other. (Purchase that stamp set and coordinating framelits as the Secret Garden Bundle and save 15%.)
The words are from the Make a Wish stamp set. Notice how the banner is folded on each end to add interest!
I will be thinking about you while I'm in Orlando and about what you might be interested in! I always appreciate comments!
