Today's card highlights a couple of different stamping techniques with Beautiful Butterflies on Betsy's Blossoms!
The stamping video tutorial below will take you step by step through making this card.
Starting with the butterfly, you will see that I put two pieces of International Bazaar Designer Series Paper (p. 164 #126920 $10.95) through the Big Shot with the Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die (p. 193 #114507 $21.95). I cut one of the butterflies across the middle and layered it on top of the other. That gives the butterfly the look of two designs! Then, to make the body I took a piece of yet a different paper from the same designer series paper set and cut it into a tapered length, starting with 1 1/2" at the widest part. Starting with the widest part, I just rolled up the paper, adding some snail toward the end and there is the body of the butterfly. If this doesn't make too much sense, watching this video will help:
The base of the card is Baja Breeze which has been run through the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder (p. 189 #117335 $7.95) and mounted on a piece of Tangerine Tango card stock. I used the 2 1/2" Circle Punch (p. 185 #120906 $16.95) to cut out the circle on the front of the card. I then stamped the large blossom from Betsy's Blossoms (p. 72 #126004w $28.95, #126006c #21.95) in Daffodil Delight Ink on a separate piece of Whisper White Card Stock and punched it out with the 2 1/2" Circle Punch.
To attach it to the card in just the right place, I closed up the card and place this piece right through the punched out hole. This is much easier that trying to stamp directly on the inside of the card and hoping it will line up perfectly! The ribbon, tied with Baker's Twine, adds the last detail on the card.
