Let’s take one simple fun fold card and see how easy it is to change it up.
I love it when one simple layout with just a few tweaks can give you multiple beautiful cards! Let’s make two different cards that both use the exact same measurements and fold for the Designer Series Paper and card base. It’s amazing how just changing the paper and orientation can create a whole new look.
Let’s start with two basic pieces – a 6″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Designer Series Paper (I’m using the Homemade Sweetness Designer Series Paper) and a 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ card base.
- Score the 6” x 5-1/4” DSP piece at 4” and fold. With the fold on the left side, adhere this on the 4-1/4” x 5-1/2” card base.
- Adhere a 1-3/4” x 5” Basic White insert on the left side of the inside of the card.
- Add your accent pieces. Try three accents. This card uses three jam jars but try circles, punches, whatever you can think of.
It opens like this…
You can also change it to horizontal card.
To make it a double fold card, you need a 5-1/2″ x 3-1/2″ piece of cardstock scored in half. This size can vary. Start with your accent piece and work from there.
- Score the 6” x 5-1/4” DSP piece at 4” and fold. With the fold on the left side, adhere this on the 4-1/4” x 5-1/2” card base.
- Score the 3-1/2” x 5-1/2” piece of cardstock at 2-3/4” and fold. Adhere a 3” X 2-1/4” Basic White insert on the inside. With the fold on the right side, adhere this on the inside of the card.
- Add your accent pieces.
