Buttons and Ribbons and Bug Me today!
I’m using the Freshly Made Sketch Design FMS89.
When I saw this sketch I immediately wanted to do something colorful with hanging ribbons. I have had this stamp set Bug Me for a while, but hadn’t played with it yet. (Can you relate to that????)
This caterpillar made me think of the new Stampin’ Up! Designer Buttons that were just sitting on my table…….so this is what I came up with.
Wouldn’t this be a cute card to send a kid? (of any age, of course)
I chose three colors from the Brights Designer Buttons that matched three different ribbons I had. After making those choices, assembling the card was really easy!
The supplies I used: Bug Me stamp set, Petite Pairs stamp set (for the words “sending many thanks”), Perfect Polka Dots folder (for the Pumpkin card stock), Raspberry Ripple 3/8″ Stitched Satin Ribbon, Pacific Point 1/4″ Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon, and Pumpkin Pie 1/8″ Taffeta Ribbon.
The Pacific Point base of the card measures 4 1/4″ x 8 1/2″ scored and folded to make a square card. The Pumpkin Pie card stock is a 4 x 4 square.
I had fun using a variety of ribbons and buttons on this Bug Me card! I hope it has encouraged you to get some of those accessories out to see what you can make with them!
