Easy to make paper gift bags – largest bags have little gift tags attached. (The cutout birds are from the squares that will be cut out for the pattern.)
The handles are strips of ribbon that are attached on the inside where you can hardly see them. See how to make that (without using any more paper) in the video below
The smallest bags have a ribbon on the front instead of handles. These are only a couple of ways to finish the bags off. Experiment with other ideas.
A fun thing about these bags – they will nest inside each other so they won’t take up a lot of room!

Handmade Paper Bag Tutorial
This basic template is meant to get you started.
We will start with two 6″ squares of Designer Series Paper. Score according to this template.
Add adhesive to the narrow edge and fold over.
On one piece, cut on the score line from each side up to the next fold line.
On the other piece, cut out the two corner squares.
Add adhesive to the shorter bottom piece, turn both pieces over and attach the ends like this.
Add adhesive on the back sides of the top piece and fold up into a bag.
