This easy gift card holder is a perfect little handmade gift to have on hand – to give a host, a friend you are meeting for coffee – or a friend with a birthday!
It opens to show four Notecards with Envelopes! Photos of the cards will be below on this post – but first let’s make the gift card holder! (Want to watch it being made – watch the Facebook Live at the end of this post!)
Notecard Folder Tutorial
Start with an 8″ x 12″ piece of Designer Series Paper. I used this cute mushroom paper from the Painted Seasons DSP.
Along the 8″ side, score right down the middle at 4″.
Rotate and score at 3-1/4″ and again at 8-3/4″.
Fold each of the four corners in – – close to but not on the 3-1/4″ and 8-3/4″ score lines.
Next, fold on those two score lines to meet in the center.
Fold in half and add ribbon and any other embellishments.
Now to make the Simply Stamped Cards.
This folder is just the right size for a set of Simply Stamped Notecards & Envelopes. You get 20 for $6.50 (p. 193 in the annual catalog) – so one pack will fill five card folders! That means you can make a bunch of these to have on hand when any last-minute comes up!
These cards all use the images from the Painted Seasons stamp set and the words from the Incredible Like You stamp set.
1. Stamp the flowers off the edges in two different colors. (Mango Melody and Poppy Parade)
2. Stamp leaf image in the lighter color (Lemon Lime Twist) and use a sponge dauber to add a darker color (Call Me Clover) to parts of the stamp before stamping on your card.
3. Stamp the leaves in a variety of colors – go for an autumn look, a spring look or just a fun look!
4. Stamp flowers in light colors right over part of the words. (Lemon Lime Twist and Pool Party)
I would love to hear if you give this a try – and please share it if you like it!!!
