Did you learn the planets by saying “My very excellent mother just served us nine pizzas”? Perhaps you had a different version, but didn’t that help with memory? I can still list the planets in order because of this silly sentence.
Keep reading to see what that has to do with today’s card!
The front of this birthday card is simple, but pretty, with a flower from the Petal Potpourri stamp set…
but its when you open it that you get the fun surprise!
I have taught this fun fold many times over the years and, as we would all be folding together, I came up with a little story to help us out. Because of that story, I think I will remember this fold forever – perhaps you will too!
There is a video tutorial below with the story, but first, this is part the newest Class to Go!
Petal Potpourri Bundle Class to Go!
Would you like to receive this card in the mail? That’s even better than watching it on video!
My Classes to Go feature 4 cards, the 3 shown here and 1 mystery card.
You also receive the Petal Potpourri stamp set, the Flower Medallion Punch, and PDFs for all of the cards.
Check out the prices – its an awesome deal. ($45 with clear, $53 with wood, plus shipping)

How to Make Explosion Cards with a Story!
As humans, we are made for stories. The cards you make, the way you live your life …. all things tell a story. What story are you telling today?

I absolutely love card making and this is fantastic! I love the camping story you used to help us remember how to make the “tent” – very handy. I’ll be sharing your tutorial with my fellow Australian card making friends. I found this at Turn it Up Tuesday where I am a guest host. This is my pick of the week and will be featured at next week’s party! Congratulations!

That is fab! I’m definitely adding this idea to my card repertoire!
Love the mini story too, and that fact that even you find things are a bit fiddly when the cameras are rolling!
Oh yes and we always said “my very easy method, just set up nine planets” but I do like the idea of an excellent mother and 9 pizzas too!
