How fun is it to have a special guest share her creativity? This week I had the pleasure of having one of my wonderful team members, Ruth Norton, and she showed us a super easy card layout that’s as pretty as it is practical.
Ruth’s design is a great reminder that simple layouts can still feel elegant and thoughtfully put together. They’re perfect for showing off your favorite Designer Series Papers. Add a soft focal point and a few coordinating accents, and you have a card that looks detailed without being fussy.
This is the kind of layout you’ll want to use again and again — just change the colors, sentiment, or paper patterns and you’ll have a whole new look in minutes. Quick to assemble, lovely to give, and ideal for all kinds of occasions.
You can also change the orientation of the layout. This card features Nature’s Symphony.
This is so easy to make and only needs minimal supplies!
- Score an 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ card base in half and fold.
- Cut a 4″ x 5-1/4″ DSP piece diagonally in half.
- Flip over one of the DSP pieces and adhere both on the card front.
- Finish off by adding your accent/sentiment pieces.
