Here are a couple more Stampin' Up! Halloween mummy card ideas!
First, with Googly Ghouls:
Colleen Rose used the one-eyed mummy from the Googly Ghouls stamp set for this delightful, totally non scary card. Of course, that one eye is a Googly Eye! She used four of the different sizes of Framelits in the Labels Collection Framelits. The smallest was from Whisper White, the next Basic Black and the other two are both from the Howlstooth & Scaringbone Designer Series Paper. These are all layered on Tangerine Tango, a fun, bright Halloween color! Doesn't that set of Framelits make an easy but striking layout?
The "happy halloween" is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set, a set of 24 word stamps that all fit into the Word Window Punch (which was also used on this card). I have used that stamp set countless times. Part of the fun of it is that you can layer those words on a variety of other punches. On this card, Colleen used a short strip of the Basic Black and Gray 1/2" Striped Satin Ribbon under it. That ribbon gives a great Halloween look.
….and now, for a totally different two-eyed mummy look:
Here's looking at you, babe….
Doesn't he look a little spooky? Dianne Logeais made this fun card with just a few Stampin' Up! circle punches, some strips of Whisper White card stock…….and those same words from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set!
The eyes are made with three circles. I love the More Mustard circles! I would have probably just used the white and black, and the More Mustard really makes those eyes pounce. Repeating the More Mustard on the base of the card adds again to the black and white.
The sponging along the edges of the white strips give it an aged mummy look. Notice how those strips are placed over the card in different directions, letting the eyes show through.
Have you started your Halloween cards or projects yet? Time is running out! On Wednesday I will be sharing my last Halloween post which will be using the Googly Ghouls stamp set along with the Designer Rosettes Bigz Die. (Check my posts from the past two or three weeks if you need more Halloween inspiration!)
The Googly Ghouls stamp set has been the most popular Halloween stamp set at my events. How about you? What is your favorite Halloween stamp set?
