Yes, we are Moving Forward with World Card Making Day in MN Oct 6! Join us in Eagan MN on that day! More details later in this blog post. This is one of the fourteen different cards we will be making.
Lisa Wellman made this beautiful card with the Moving Forward stamp set. This set of seven stamps is a great set for kids cards and, with each Moving Forward stamp set sold, Stampin' Up! donates $3 to the Ronald McDonald Houses! What a double blessing – you get to enjoy creating cards with the set and you will also enjoy knowing part of the proceeds are going to support families of very sick children.
The cost for this set is only $19.95 for wood and $14.95 for clear. In addition to the tricycle stamp used in this card, it includes a hot air balloon, a boat, and some little accent stamps with a bird, a frog, flowers, and lines.

Isn't this paper perfect for this set? Lisa used the International Bazaar Designer Series Paper and the complimentary colors of Pool Party, Tangerine Tango and Pacific Point.
To make this card, the base is the regular 5 1/2" by 4 1/4" size. The top of the front piece (the Pool Party part on this sample card) measures 4 1/4" by 2 3/4" and the designer series paper part is 4 1/4" by 3 1/2". You will see how the designer series paper part overlaps the top piece of Pool Party and is connected with a Glimmer Brad. That lets the top part slide up. The trike with its two border layers is attached just to the top piece, so the bottom of it overlaps the designer series paper layer when the card is closed, but slides up when opened.
Did you notice the rhinestones on the wheels and on the tiny flower punched out with one of the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack.
So what are we doing for World Card Making Day? You will get to make fourteen totally different cards using a variety of stamp sets and accessories (no Holiday cards). Work at your own pace and enjoy visiting with other stampers. Lots of samples will be on display so bring your camera. We have lots of drawings too!

We collect cards for the troops that day, too, so bring any extra cards you have made and brighten the day for a soldier and his or her family!
