Autumn is the time for harvesting crops from our gardens, (or maybe your local Farmers' Market?) so today I have a card using Perfectly Preserved: the perfect stamp set for fall! Whether its apples, pears, corn, cherries, or flowers, your friends and family will love preserving these cards. And, of course, an empty jar is perfect for all kinds of things year round, including the ever popular money!
The Perfectly Preserved stamp set includes fourteen stamps which coordinate with the Cannery Set Framelits Dies. On this card, I am just using the ear of corn. I used colors from the Orchard Harvest Designer Series Paper, focusing on the sheet of paper with the corn. I colored directly on the stamp with Raspberry Ripple and More Mustard Stampin' Write Markers. If you watch the stamping video tutorial below, you will see that I color some other ears of corn with different colors, but all coordinating with the images on this paper.
The Labels Collection Framelits make great frames for the ear of corn. (That certainly sounds weird – who would frame an ear of corn?) I used two different sizes of the Framelits, the smaller one with Lucky Limeade card stock and the larger one with Raspberry Ripple. I also ran the larger frame through the Stampin' Up! Big Shot with the Square Lattice embossing folder. The base of the card is More Mustard, so you see I took all of the colors from the Orchard Harvest designer series paper. The Raspberry Ripple Stitched Satin Ribbon provides the finishing touch on this card.
Fall colors are my favorite colors so that's another reason I love this paper. These fall colors are a little different from the traditional fall colors, which gives a fun look to these cards. These harvest cards would be great for any occasion in the fall including birthdays or thank yous. If you have a neighbor who gives you some garden produce, wouldn't this be a nice way to thank him or her?
