Some days you have lots of time to create, and some days you just need a card. That’s where today’s idea comes in. This simple layout uses just two pieces of patterned paper and a card base, but it leaves plenty of room for creativity.
Keep it simple, add a sentiment, layer on a few embellishments, or take it in a completely different direction. I love ideas like this because we can all start in the same place and end up somewhere completely different. That’s part of what makes cardmaking so much fun.
Paper, stamp, and ink – that’s all you need and you’ll be ready to play with this layout!
- Score a regular 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ card base in half and fold.
- Adhere a 2-1/2” x 4-1/2” DSP piece on the card base.
- Layer a 2-3/4” x 2-3/4” DSP piece onto a 3” x 3” piece of coordinating cardstock and adhere on the card front.
- Add your accent/sentiment piece.
If you want to add layer, just add a 4″ x 5-1/4″ cardstock mat.
