For a fun interactive card for a cat lover – check out this slider card made with the Cat Punch … or pull out card … I really don’t know what to call it.
You pull the roof up to see the words. Change the words and you have change the occasion for giving this handmade card.
Here are the supplies you will need:
A 5″ x 8″ piece of Pool Party card stock, scored along the long side at 1 1/2″ and 5 1/2″. Fold.
Use the 2 7/8″ square from the Stitched Shapes Framelits to create the window in the center piece.
On the cut-out square piece, add your sentiment. (I used a birthday stamp from Confetti Celebrations.)
Attach a 3 1/4″ square of Window Sheet under the opening.
Put adhesive along one of the sides of the house and close up the card.
Carefully, attach the square with the words on the inside of the card – looking through the window.
Cut a piece of 3 3/8″ x 5 1/2″ Petal Garden Paper and make a black cat with the Cat Punch. Attach the cat to the bottom of that paper. This will make the slider.
For the roof, cut a piece of 1 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ Fresh Fig. Cut the sides at an angle to look like a roof.
Use a piece of Tear & Tape to attach the top of the roof to the top of the Petal Garden paper. This will allow the bottom of the roof to stay open – and slide over the top of the house.
