For your Halloween planning, today's project is Stampin' Up! Halloween Monster Munchies in a Coffin! How cute is this?
Wouldn't this be fun to put on each dinner plate? The "mummy" is actually a small size Sugar Daddy wrapped in the 1/2" Vanilla Seam Binding Ribbon. The eyes are punched out of Whisper White with the circle punch from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack and the black is added with the Stampin' Write Marker. The eyes are added after the ribbon has circled the candy once and then the ribbon continues to wind around one more time. There is a stamping video tutorial below that will walk you through each step.
The coffin is made with Basic Black Card Stock run through the Big Shot with the Petite Pockets Bigz Die. When folding the cut-out, leave the cover up so the mummy fits right in. A bit of Halloween paper from the Howlstooth & Scaringbone Desinger Series Paper is wrapped out it. The stamp "Bone Appetit!" is from the Monster Munchies stamp set. It is punched out with the 1 3/8" Circle Punch and layered on a punched out piece of Tangerine Tango (with the 1 3/4" Circle Punch).
The Monster Munchies stamp set is perfect for Halloween since so much of Halloween centers around treats! (That's probably one of the things that makes it so popular!) Enjoy this video:
This Halloween project with Monster Munchies is easy to make. Once you have figured out how to wrap the Sugar Daddy, you can make many of them in a short time. Wouldn't this be fun to put on each plate at the dinner table for a surprise? Or how about putting one on a co-worker's desk for a Halloween surprise? Once you start making these, you will think up lots more ideas.
I hope you enjoyed this idea for Stampin' Up! Hallween Monster Munchies in a Coffin!
