The colors just pop on this card by Dianne Logeais. She made use of just some slim strips of papers from the International Bazaar designer series paper and adding the words from the Sweet Essentials stamp set.
Scraps from the Polka Dot Parade designer series paper are fun to work with. With the 1 1/4" Square Punch you can turn those squares into a present. Add words from the Perfect Punches stamp set and use the Extra-Large Oval Punch to make the gift tag. Setting the present on a background that uses the Perfect Polka Dot Folder completes the look.
Switching from the square punch to the 1 1/4" Circle Punch gives a different shape to work with. Notice the Perfect Polka Dots Folder is used again on this background. The words are from the Itty Bitty Banners stamp set and the Bitty Banners Framelits. The little button from the Brights Designer Buttons is threaded with some Baker's Twine.
This is a very simple, yet quite elegant, scrap card. I used the Scallop Square Punch with scraps of Birds of a Feather designer series paper. This uses the basic design of a square with the fourth square being something different and interesting. On this card I have used one of the flowers from the Paper Daisies, sponged it lightly with Crumb Cake Ink, and added a button from the Designer Buttons. The words from Teeny Tiny Wishes are punched out with the Word Window Punch.
This cute card by Sue Nurnberger combines the Postage Stamp Punch and the 1" Circle Punch. You can see that the circle punch-outs include textured paper from the embossing folders as well as plain card stock. One of them has an accent flower from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack. This shows the wide variety of scraps you can use! I like how this is tied together with the Midnight Muse strip of card stock run through the Big Shot with the hearts folder from the Adorning Accents Folders. This card is made entirely with the new In Colors. The words are from the Friendly Phrases stamp set.
I'm sure see all of these cards has give you some new ideas to try. So enjoy getting out some of those scraps of card stock and designer series papers and your Stampin' Up! punches and get creative! Come up with your own Stampin' Up! scrap card ideas!
