February 14 is right around the corner. Sweet Cake Valentine Card ideas are easy to come up with this fun stamp set.
Carol Nordquist made this card in shades of pink and red.The Heart Pressed Letterpress Plate creates the lovely background. A touch of glitter on the cupcake and the Red Glimmer Paper cherry finishes the look.
This card says "Be My Valentine" and other words in the set are "Happy Birthday" and "You're So Sweet" so this can be used for many occasions.
Cupcakes are such a popular item these days! Wouldn't you love to get a fresh cupcake with this card for your birthday or as a thank you card? Better yet, wouldn't you love to give this to a special someone or to a group of friends who helped you out with something? Nothing says "Celebration" like something sweet to eat!
For another way to change the look of this stamp set, stamp it in several colors and then cut out the banner and cupcake out so you have layers in different colors.
Have you tried the any of the Letterpress Plates with your Big Shot? They really do re-create the look of the old time letter presses. They can be used as in the card above just by themselves, or you can ink up the entire plate or just a portion of it. All of the variations will give you different looks. Stampin' Up! has several Letterpress Plates to choose from.
