My bag is packed……I'm ready to go…..
The opportunity for travel is a big benefit as a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator. I am off today for a week in beautiful San Antonio to attend the Stampin' Up! Leadership Conference.
Notice I said my "bag" is packed – singular because I refuse to pay to check a bag. With the 200 cards I have made to swap, that doesn't leave much room for clothes! I guess that shows where my priorities lie!
Each year during Leadership, Stampin' Up! has a special evening event for everyone who is a manager or above. This was the invitation they sent us this year.
This is how it arrived:
Notice that is just a piece of Timeless Portrait Designer Series Paper wrapped around the gift with a red ribbon tie. The ends are not even closed!
The invitation just slides out like this:
and then look what it turns into:
How clever is that? The fan folds out and all of the information about the event is printed right on it.
(Supplies: Timeless Portrait Designer Series Paper p.185 $10.95 and Red Satin Ribbon p.195 $8.95. Thats it!)
It makes me think about what other small gift items I could use this idea for. If you have some kind of party favor, wouldn't putting one of these on each person's plate make an attractive setting? You could use paper coordinated with the party theme.
I always look forward to this week of seeing friends from all over the country that I have met through SU!, learning new business ideas, and, of course, new stamping and papercrafting ideas! With Stampin' Up! I've gone to so many places including Nashville, Orlando, San Diego and Salt Lake City, among others, for conventions and leadership conferences and I have earned free cruises to Alaska, Hawaii, Bermuda and the Caribbean.
