Matchbook cards and a quick and easy fun fold card to make. You can easily change them up to be gifts as well by adding a gift card, a packet of hot cocoa, a pad of sticky notes or anything else you can think of.
A matchbook card looks like this on the outside. (This card uses the Tea Boutique Designer Series Paper.)
It opens just like a matchbook.
There are nine more matchbook cards below but first, let’s look at how easy these are to make.
Matchbook Card Instructions
This is all you need.
Score along the 11″ side of the cardstock @ 4-3/4″ and 10″. Fold up like a matchbook.
Staple the narrow fold to make the pocket for the card front to tuck into and decorate.
For helpful tips on making these, watch the video below.
The Abigail Rose Designer Series Paper makes class cards with the Smoky Slate and Petal Pink color combination. The gorgeous flowers are fussy cut from that same paper.
The Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper is another paper that has beautiful flowers to either fussy cut or die cut – your choice!
You can even color your own paper like this card using the Perfectly Penciled Designer Series Paper and the Sweet Sorbet and Tahitian Tide Stampin’ Blends. (I colored these papers back in May when Tim was in the hospital and I spent a few days sitting by his bed. So glad he is fine now. Do you take projects like this along when you know you are going to sitting somewhere for a long time?)
Need masculine cards? With the He’s the Man Designer Series Paper, you can create a bunch of matchbook cards for different occasions. Two sheets of die cuts are included with this paper. Here is just one idea.
How about a fun teacher gift for that first day of school? Just tuck in a gift card for a coffee shop – something a teacher will always appreciate.
This card uses the Awash with Beauty Designer Paper and those gorgeous flowers on the front? Yes, they are fussy cut from the same paper. (Don’t want a floral look? Any of the other cards shared here would also be great – just add a gift card.)
Now for a couple of cute cards! The Storybook Gnomes Designer Series Paper includes these gnomes, mushroom homes and reindeer! How fun is that?
The Happy Forest Friends Designer Series Paper can be used for so many different occasions too.
Celebrate color with this fun Butterfly Kisses Designer Series Paper. All these butterflies are – you guessed it – right from the paper itself!
You can even use this easy card idea for Christmas cards like this one.
